MEET PHIL VARGAS
PRESIDENT
Phil Vargas is a graduate of the University of Florida’s M.E. Rinker, Sr. School of Construction and an accomplished real estate developer and construction executive with more than 20 years of industry experience. Throughout his career, Phil has overseen more than $400 million in commercial and residential construction projects, including multifamily, hospitality, medical, dental, K-12 schools, and high-end residential.
Phil founded JP Lawrence with a commitment to building lasting relationships and delivering projects with a high level of quality and accountability. His collaborative approach with owners, architects, and project teams ensures each project is carefully planned and executed from start to finish. Through strong communication and hands-on leadership, Phil helps create a seamless construction experience while keeping quality, schedule, and budget at the forefront.
Outside of construction, Phil enjoys spending time with his wife, three children, and their Vizsla, Tua. A lifelong sports enthusiast, he enjoys staying active through sports, hiking, traveling, and exploring new places with his family. His passion for building extends beyond the job site through the relationships he creates and the communities he helps shape.

We evaluate scope, budget, schedule, and project goals and establish a clear plan before construction begins.
Step 2 | Delivery Strategy & Coordination
We help owners determine the best approach for their project, whether design-build or traditional delivery, while ensuring alignment between design, budget, and construction.
Our team manages these details throughout construction, maintaining communication, quality control, and accountability through project completion.
Step 3 | Construction & Completion
From final inspections to delivery, we ensure every detail meets our standards and reflects the vision established from the beginning.
